A Passion for Life (8th - 14th March)

25 Jan 2010

A Passion for Life is a nationwide initiative that is drawing together local evangelical churches to plan a fantastic variety of missional initiatives culminating in Easter 2010. Our passion is to see numerous people of all ages and backgrounds in our country reborn to glorify God.

In the North East we are thrilled that Phillip Jensen, Dean of St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney, has agreed to join us for the week beginning 8th March. He will be speaking at some local church events but also central events to which anyone can be invited.  There are three central events, two in Newcastle and one in Durham.

®    On Thursday 11th March at 7pm we have booked the Gallagher Suite at St. James Park, a terrific venue overlooking both the pitch and city. The evening will consist of a finger buffet, an open bar, chat and a talk by Phillip. More info from Mat Martin (0191 209 2508).

->   On Monday 8th March we will be joinging Wellbeck Road Evangelical and St Oswalds in a Ladies Pamper Evening at Wellbeck Road Evangelical Church from 7-9pm. There will be various stalls (Clinique, Brow Bar etc. . .) as well as Puddings and a Gospel talk by Phillip.

®    On Saturday 13th March at 8:30am we’re holding a men’s breakfast, with of course a talk by Phillip, at the Northern Rugby Club, Gosforth. More info from David Lovelock (0191 216 1637).

®    On Sunday 14th March the Gala Theatre in Durham has been booked for an evening with Phillip with Questions & Answers.

Our aim is that each event will be well run, simple, enjoyable and focused on a clear explanation of the gospel. Each will be branded a regional event (under the A Passion for Life banner) not one put on by a particular church.
